Dimitar Solakov

Several years ago, when he was about to become a father, Dimitar made installations about what it means to create and destroy.

The parenting storyline continues here, but in another direction: When the mountain does not come to me, and I can not go to it, is an exhibition of a man who loves the mountain and lives near her but can not experience it completely because the children obsess his time. He responds to  obsessively painting peaks and forests: almost abstract, attentive, similar to Asian landscapes, restrained and calm. But is not the anger of touching the mountain only with a brush underneath the image?
