Bogomir Lazov

Bogomir Lazov

Genre: paintings
He was born in 1906 in Kyustendil, where he later became one of the founders of the local gallery and museum. In 7 other towns and villages he worked for a long time as a painting teacher who, during his free time, practiced art himself and made not only portraits of famous scientists, but also watercolors of Kyustendil.

In fact, Bogomir Lazov, just like his friend Vladimir Dimitrov-Maystora, was convinced that one is most meaningful in their work where they were born. Now we look at his watercolors, made between 1930 and 1960, along with drawings in the same technique of a bunch of people like Konstantin Shtarkelov and Yordan Geshev. Thus the exhibition tells the story of the Bulgarian watercolor during these years.
