Against the wall: Julien de Casabianca

1 March 2018 text Evelina Ivanova photos Outings Project
For a week the unshakable look of a young girl stops us in front of an end-wall in Sofia. While we were all wondering who the graffiti artist was, it turned out that the question was wrong. The new "facade" of Bulgaria hall is not a graffiti, but an art installation created without a spray but with a lot of glue from Julien de Casabianca, a French visual artist and cinematic director of Corsican origin. With his Outings project, he has taken the art out of the museums by placing it on the streets as photographic plates on the walls of buildings in Europe, Asia, Latin and North America, and now in our country. We thank the French Institute, which has invited Julien in Sofia, and then meet him to find out that in two weeks we are waiting even for more art in our city. Quel plaisir!
