Top 10

8 August 2019
The things that make our lives better.

THE 90S
Under a cover by Lyuba Haleva, we'll read personal stories about those tumultuous years after November 10 (which broke the 90s cap in 1989), but as early as August 9, some of them will be read at the Book Alley event in Varna.

ANTIAGE
When Scorsese offers you to star in a gangster movie based on real events, you don't say "But I'm 30 years older than the real people in it." So De Niro, Pacino and Pesci are rejuvenated by CGI for The Irishman. The trailer is here, the movie comes in the fall.

THE HARVEST MOUSE
The smallest rodent in Europe. It is so cute that Wimbledon began donating old tennis balls for mouse homes almost 20 years ago.

THE FRUIT
Blackberries will turn black every minute now, but the time is right for the red and blue blueberries to spice up your weekend mountain walks. Or maybe your smoothie bowl on Monday.

THE CALENDAR
It should reflect the weather, so it is no wonder that the Pirelli 2020 calendar will still show fantastic women, but without undressing them. With his lens, Paolo Roversi looks for Juliette of the 21st Century.

DOMINIC FIKE
You should hear this story: a 23-year-old American records an EP while under house arrest, and when he leaves his home to sign with Columbia, he is jailed. Now free, Dominic brings out some more top material that everyone will listen to tomorrow. Today we start with 3 Nights.

THE HOLIDAY
We climb on the only cactus that adores being immersed in water, and we don't leave it for a whole week - for 160BGN from Detailor, so it seems we will also have to spend the night on this mattress.

THE SONG
After 10,000 Days from 2006 Tool disappointed millions with a long pause, which they broke days ago with a new Spotify account, and just hours ago with their new over 10-minute Fear Inoculum. It does not disappoint at all, but gives the whole album a name too.

THE TRAILER
There is chemistry when the story of Georgi Gospodinov meets the hand of Theo Ushev, says the trailer of The Physics of Sadness. The animation features paintings in ancient encaustic techniques (wax painting) and the voice of Donald Sutherland. It's going to Toronto first, we're waiting here too.

THE SANDWICH
A thin slice of eggplant smeared with olive oil and put into a medium heat pan. This is followed by sweet tomato, cracked salty cheese and more olive oil - our recipe for August on a toast.
