The good girl Eurydice, who dreams of playing the piano but marries a rude man; and the rebel Guido, who pursues her desire for freedom in marriage to a Greek sailor but is quickly thrown off to her home by a pregnant woman and with a broken relationship. A family lie will make it impossible for the two to come together for many years, and the emotional story of writer Martha Batalha is conveyed right to the screen with interesting camera, classical music and deep feelings.
