A place for six

26 February 2015
It's located at Malkite Pet Kiosheta, but still far from the sidewalk. In a courtyard Format is the place where you can find six artists of jewelry and small functional objects.
Today we are their guests in their shared space for inspiration, plans, working, laughing, hot coffee in cups shaped like vegetable.

It's important to have a place to show your work in the best possible light. And it's great if this place is an old appartment in Sofia with sky-high ceilings. Yana, Angelina, Krasen, Eugenia, Sylvia and Mariana welcome us warmly in the vestibule with a sofa, large mirrors in retro frames and lamp, made of paper. In the room on the left is the studio of Angelina, on the right - the marble table with wooden legs of Yana. They first come up with the idea for the project and then invite others to join - no one refused because the format suits them. So two months later they have a place for meetings - in the main room, arranged as a perfect gallery.

The clash of six talents on 200 square meters is inspiring - for us and for them. They are like an origami figure - there are countless possible folds. They all work individually, but collaborations are common. There is a link between those people, one made of a noble metal.
They desire personal contact and likes it when someone knocks on their door. You'll find it all here, but call in advance - important meetings begin with an appointment.

By the way, we already arranged you one. 26 to 28 of February Format welcomes its first guest author - Velislava Bozhilova. You're invited

Angelina Tsvetkova
She makes delicate silver jewellery. One day, when she's searching for a new studio, she finds this apartement... And so it begins.

We love her big, bold leather jewellery.
