If you happen to pass by Lyuben Karavelov Str., make sure to slacken your pace at number 7. Chekmedzhe (or Drawer) is the warmest place in town - because of its home-made drinks, the friendly encounters and the fluffy knitwear made by two girls with a subtle taste for life.

Four years he almost missed the bus for Germany. The driver wouldn't let him get on because of the army of cartoon look-likes of the Yeti monster that he carried with him. "Better try and hitchhike a truck," the sulky driver advised him. Yet, with silent persistence, Peter managed to secure himself a seat (though not by the window) and to get on time for one of the biggest sports exhibits in the world, IPSO Munich - the venue where he showcased his latest invention -  the Small Foot inflatable snowshoes.

  • To Meet Adelina

    23 October 2014

    by Geri Turiyska

Adelina has the knack to create micro societies. These are cozy places for alternative people that have always had  the burning need to belong to a place of "their own". She was the mastermind behind Radio Cafe for a couple of years. Now Adelina Kasparyanova has created a new city hub - the conceptual shop Stari Gradski (Urban Retro) where her personal taste continues to inspire us.

Remember her name. She lives and works in Paris. You can meet her in the nice little coffees in Montorgeuil, in the design shops in Haut Maret District and in the line, waiting for her favorite food in France - Bethillon ice-cream.

The first instrument to be named the "airbrush" was developed by Abner Peeler "for the painting of watercolors and other artistic purposes" and used a hand-operated compressor. It was rather crude, being based on a number of spare parts in a jeweller's workshop such as old screwdrivers and welding torches. It took 4 years of further development before a truly practical device was developed. Enough with history. Nowadays there is an artist who can use airbrush for whatever comes in mind. His name is Branimir Yotov.
