It is true that in 2018 we were at a gallery almost as often as in a cinema. The art embraced us and asked us to step on it, we met it at new addresses and queued for it. After such a good year, we are only wondering why true art criticism is not growing here, while finger-pointing is rising? But let's start from the good end: all the big art projects outside, the solo exhibitions by young artists, the galleries that didn’t slow down even for a day.

Do you remember how La Haine smelled? When in 2017 we watched Matthew Kassovitz's movie in the House of Cinema, we felt his perfume in the salon, created specially for it by the perfumer Mark Buxton. Now the Berlin agency Folie À Plusieurs gathers us for an exhibition where mediator once again will be our sense of smell.

Imagine an exhibition of huge abstract paintings that are created right then and there. Now imagine an atmospheric music concert that is best experienced if you're seated, still and silent. Now combine the two things in one and the image in your head will be very close to what's coming to Dom na kinoto next Thursday - with Japanese artist Akiko Nakayama and E.U.E.R.P.I.'s ambient-drone music.

It is unimaginable for us before we agree to go this way alone - into a dark hut in Fondazione Prada on the outskirts of Milan, where Alejandro G. Iñárritu directs our transformation into illegal immigrants. Virtually and just for seven minutes, in which you actually fall on your knees. This is Carne y Arena.
