Theatre director Iavor Gardev defines the film as retro-socialist and neo-noar, that means socialist reality, seen through black magnifying glass, Russian songs, irony and dark humour. The vision of Zift is totally black and white and charms us with the first cadre, when we learn the meanings of that word - asphalt and shit. The film name is taken from Vladislav Todorov's book - crime story, that becomes the script. The narrator - Moth (Zahary Baharov), innocent prisoner just before 9th of September 1944 because of affair with woman, black diamond and small African statuette. Moth goes out of jail in the beginning of the 60's and in the deformed city landscape of Communism we spend with him a night of sex and violence, in dark clubs and small streets, with the voice of Djoko Rosic.
