The Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 was widely covered by the nineteenth-century press. About one hundred of the most famous war correspondents and artists from around the world accompanied the Russian and Turkish armies to inform their readerships of the developments. Using unknown material from the world’s top newspapers, the documentary sheds light on their work on the front line, their fierce competition and different points of view of the events, and of the Bulgarians.

Jack London's (1903) novel has been filmed many times since the silent cinema, but here's the first screenplay in which the protagonist is not a real dog. The Giant Buck is born from a motion-capture computer (meaning that he was played by an actor, in this case the former acrobat of Cirque du Soleil Terry Notary).
