Legend has it that after Anton Strashimirov wrote critical articles against the king, he left for Switzerland and in 1905 wrote three plays. One of them is Mother-in-law, who won the competition at the National Theater (the other two are also liked by the jury), but under the maiden name of her husband.

If you think that this move is inherent in a person with a sense of humor, it will not surprise you that the play is still talked about as the best Bulgarian comedy. How is this possible in more than a century? "The characters in this story are relatives and relatives. An urban stratum with longings and dreams of civility.
