Albert Kamu’s drama Kaligula is the new project of the young director Yavor Gardev, kept in a secret for a long time. To his opinion those Roman emperor is one of the most falsely accused from historians person, who has not made even half of the sins he is considered. Gardev is also attracted by Kamu’s concept about the temptation of living in total freedom, which turned out harmful influence. Gardev works again with Nicola Toromanov, author of scenography and costumes. They both are the winners of 3 Askeer prizes. That fifth Gardev’s production for the stage of Varna Drama Theatre is a co production with French Theatre La Rose des Vents.
