Giving shape to memories: Radostin Sedevchev

15 November 2018
One of the first things he tells us is that he wants to be more organized and that's amazing - after all, Radostin has several exhibitions in his biography, a BAZA award for young artists nomination and a doctorate from the National Academy of Art, where he is already an assistant professor.

In his installations, he often works with old found photographies and diaries, found on the flea market, obects which carry the imprint of the memory. Or he explores the circle of time, let's say in nature - his last exhibition was a video in an ICA gallery where a family of badgers take over the old territories of nature in an abandoned cemetery for months. We meet him just before he enters studio Ö - a small space in Pirotska Str where the curator Stefka Tsaneva shares a studio with an artist for a month.
